I mean, the ones who are really getting screwed with their pants on are the fans….and the people behind the concession stands, and the security people patrolling the stands..and the front office people who were all laid off before the strike was ever announced! I personally know three people who have been directly affected by this “lockout/strike/whatever”…and for them, this absolutely sucks. I admit, no one held a gun to the owners’ collective heads to give big money to Yashin, Guerin, Jagr, etc….but if the owners took it upon themselves to NOT give out any more ridiculous contracts, you would have the NHLPA screaming “collusion” so loudly, the sound would be deafening….Personally I do not want a 3 1/2 month NHL season, which is what we are looking at right now…The way I see it, the Super Bowl is Feb 6th…and then in a scant two weeks after that…PITCHERS AND CATCHERS REPORT!!
