Marc Staal New York Rangers

First off, I didn’t know tomahawked was a word, term or phrase.

Nevertheless, Rangers defenseman Marc Staal used it after the Penguins 3-0 win at New York to describe a play in which he believes Pittsburgh should have been penalized.

Staal and Malkin were battling in front of the crease for a puck when the whistle blew and Staal knocked Malkin to the ice. Staal claims that as Malkin was falling down he swung his stick at Staal’s head and “tomahawked me right on top of the helmet.

Personally, I though the play was a little dirty both ways. Staal leveled Malkin with a hit up high. I didn’t notice the stick as much as I did Malkin getting a punch in after the official had come in to break up the skirmish.

No penalties were called.

Staal missed almost half of last season with a concussion, so it’s understandable why he’d be upset with this or any other contact to the head. However, I’m not sure how much a player has control over his body or his stick when he’s sent tumbling to the ice.

I do not drop many responses, hovewer i did some searching and wound up here 2011-2012 the Lost Season | Top Shelf Cheese. And I actually do have a couple of questions for you if it’s allright. Is it simply me or does it look as if like a few of the comments come across like coming from brain dead individuals? And, if you are posting at other online social sites, I’d like to keep up with anything fresh you have to post.
